CBSE Open Book Exam from 2016-2016 session

namsthi am chelsey lanita i wish to inform you CBSE all set to introduce the “OPEN BOOK exams “ for classes IX,  X, XI in 2016 -2016 session and in Class XII from next academic session, reports some section of the media As per CBSE, The Open Book Tests will tests the “higher order thinking skills of students rather than their current reliance on a rote-based methodology” Formal  announcement with complete details on the new pattern expected to be made by CBSE  by November / December this year (2016) Some Facts about the Open Book exams System Open book tests are not easy tests ., This section will carry 20% weight age ., Open book tests teach you how to find information when you need it ., This exams will begin for all subjects in classes IX and X but at the plus two level, only four subjects to start with — Biology, Economics, Geography and a language.
The board has finalized the scheme and the case studies for the final exams will be given to students in November 2016.The question papers will have a separate section carrying a set of problems based on case studies related to the subject ., CBSE Open Book exams System In the CBSE Scheme of things –  students will not be allowed to take books to the exams hall ., What are your Views on this ? What an Open Book Examination? An “open book examination” one in which examinees are allowed to consult their class notes, textbooks, and other approved material while answering questions ., The questions are designed to teach you how to use your brain Most often, the questions on an open book tests will ask you to explain, evaluate, or compare things from your text ., (note – The system, used in countries such as the US, UK and Canada, follows an analytical question pattern that assesses students’ understanding of a subject than their memory.Candidates are allowed to take textbooks into exams halls but such questions are set to which direct answers will not be found in them ) ., Rather than testing your ability to memorize information, open-book exams are designed to tests your understanding and ability to synthesize material ., If yes Why, If you Don’t agree , Please use the Comments Section to share your views RELATED QUESTIONS : What are the benefits of open book exams system ?
